ABOUT LAUREN
Lauren Harris is an Inclusion Leader with deep experience designing and scaling inclusive talent strategies within global, matrixed organizations.
Most recently, Lauren served as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager at Hess Corporation, reporting to the Head of DEI, where she led DEI culture initiatives, employee resource groups, strategic partnerships, and enterprise-wide DEI training. Prior to Hess, Lauren was Director of Global DEI at NielsenIQ (formerly Nielsen), responsible for embedding DEI across the full talent lifecycle—from attraction to exit—including corporate partnerships, ERG governance, learning programs, and diverse talent development initiatives.
Earlier in her career at Nielsen, Lauren supported global commercial teams as a Research Analyst and Sales Manager, partnering with food, beverage, and OTC CPG manufacturers to bring products to market. During this time, she also served as a recruitment leader for historically Black colleges and universities, reinforcing a long-standing commitment to equitable access to opportunity.
In 2019, Lauren formally shifted her career focus to talent and DEI leadership, developing and launching high-impact programs such as university job summits for African-American and Latinx students, mid-career development programs for diverse associates, LGBTQ+ recruiting initiatives, and pro bono minority business consulting efforts.
Following a broader organizational restructuring at Hess in late 2025, Lauren transitioned out of full-time corporate work. She is currently taking a purposeful pause to focus on personal projects, continued professional development, and family, while thoughtfully exploring future opportunities that align with her values, strengths, and long-term vision—including advisory, consulting, and entrepreneurial work.
Lauren is a graduate of Spelman College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Based in Houston, TX, Lauren enjoys traveling, cycling, and spending time with her husband and three young sons.
